General characteristics
 
"Polar Bear" tile adhesive is one kind of pre-mixed powder that based on calcium sulphoaluminate, mixed with Portland cement, other inorganic silicate materials and additive agent in a appropriate proportion.
 
Properties
 
 

1. High early strength and bond strength.  Walking and crack-sealing after 2 hours in normal temperature.
2. Reduce working procedures. Using this product achieves efficiency result without immersing.
3. Water resistance strength and freezing-thaw resistance strength are better than Portland cement.
4. It has excellent water retaining property. The adhesive layer is thin and homogeneous.
5. It has good hydration under low temperature, and could be used under negative temperature according to our direction.
6. Avoid cracking, falling off and breaking.
7. Without toxic, smell, pollution and radioactivity.

Application area
 
 

1. CSA Tile Adhesive make it ideal for bonding ceramic tile,fictile,slab-stone,floor tile etc.

Application method
 
Surface treatment
 
 

1. The surface must be clean, firm, dry, free of dust, dirt oil and grease and be strong enough to support the weight of fixed adhesives and tiles.
2. New injected concrete surfaces need to be cured for a minimum of at least 4 weeks prior to the commencement of tilling.
3. Water the basing surface and tiles can achieve rigid adherence.

 
Mixing
 
 

1. According to inverse proportion 1:0.18 to mix dry powder with clean water, using blender to mix 5 minutes. Attention clean water first then dry powder.
2. Need to mix enough. Leave mixture 1 minute and then light to mix round a little prior to use.
3. Using up the mixed material within 2 hours.

 
Using
 
 

1. Apply the adhesive mixture to the work surface equably with a notched trowel, the thickness depend on the different thickness of tile or slab-stone . Usually lay on 2-4mm for tile and 4-6mm for slab-stone. The smoother of the work surface, the less mixture needed. Film 1 ㎡each time, then press the tiles and stone in this area.

 
 

2. The size of notched trowel should be chosen on the roughness of work surface and tiles. The adhesive mixture shall be used on both work surface and tiles if the back of tiles are very rough or the slab-stone and tiles are relating sizable and heavy.

 
 

3. Filling can only be started after the adhesive mixture is dry and firm (around 12-24 hour after usage).

 
 
Bonding in Icehouse or chill Area
 
CSA Tile Adhesive can be used in low temperature environment. The construction work need to be carried on under ﹣5-40℃,and it shall be cured at least 3 days under the normal temperature after ending tiling.
 
Tips of Usage
 
 

1. Special crack sealer agent should be used when filling the slot.

 
 

2. When working on slab-stone with size over 600×600×20mm,the uprightness is better for lower than 6m. Reinforcement is needed when over 6m.

 
Dosage Estimate
 
1.5-1.7kg/m²×mm(thickness).
 
Storage
 
Pack with 25kg bags.
"Polar Bear" Tile Adhesive should be stored in dry environment, and it can be stored for at least 6 months with original package.
